Act

Action plan

One ranked to-do list built from everything AEO, GEO and SEO found, split by who does the work.

The action plan turns findings from every part of Rixe — lost questions, missing sources, crawler blocks, SEO defects, keywords just off page one — into a single list of work, ranked by how much each item is likely to move your visibility. Use it as the place you start each week: it tells you what to do next, why it is there, and whether Rixe can do it for you.

Where to find it

In the sidebar, open Actions › Action plan. The number next to the menu item is how many items are open. The screen has three tabs:

TabWhat it shows
Action planOpen items grouped by who does the work (described below).
OpportunitiesThe same findings as a board you move through suggested → planned → done.
ImpactWhat finished work actually changed. See Impact.

Where the items come from

The list is rebuilt every night at 05:00 UTC from the latest measurements, the source data, the site crawl and rank tracking. You can also rebuild it at once with Refresh list on the Opportunities tab.

Each item belongs to one kind of finding. The kind decides the badge on the card and which of the three disciplines it counts towards:

DisciplineKinds of finding
AEO — are you quoted when someone asks a questionContent gap, Comparison, Refresh, Answer format, Technical, Source
GEO — your visibility read per engine and per marketDirectory / listing, Perception, Forum / thread, Encyclopaedia
SEO — the classic Google and Bing surfaceSite SEO crawl issues, keywords ranking 11–30, Crawling, Bing

A few examples of what produces an item: a question where a competitor is named and you are not (Prompts); a rival that beats you with no "us vs them" page yet (Competitors); an influential source that never mentions you (Sources); an AI crawler blocked in robots.txt (Site health); a duplicate title across hundreds of pages or a keyword sitting on page two (Site SEO).

How items are ranked

Every item carries three numbers, and its priority is:

text
priority = impact × confidence ÷ effort
  • Impact (1–5): how much the item can move visibility if it works.
  • Confidence (0–100%): how sure Rixe is that the finding is real and the fix helps.
  • Effort (1–5): how much work it is.

The priority is printed on every item. On the Opportunities board, hover over Priority to read the sentence behind it, for example "Impact 5, effort 1, confidence 90%." A blocked AI crawler is always near the top: no content work matters if the engines cannot read your site.

The three piles on the Action plan tab

At the top, four tiles count the Open items and how many come from AEO, GEO and SEO. Below them the items are split by where the work happens:

PileMeaningTypical items
We do this for youOn your own site, and Rixe can carry it out end to end.New pages for content gaps, comparison pages, rewriting a stale page, restructuring a page for AI answers, pages for keywords off page one.
We prepare it, you apply itOn your own site, but it touches code or settings Rixe cannot change. You get the exact fix.Robots.txt and crawler fixes, Bing setup, SEO crawl defects.
Off your siteOn someone else's property. Rixe writes the case; a person sends it.Getting listed in a directory, an outreach message to a source, a correction request, evidence for an encyclopaedia article.

Each item shows its discipline badge, title, priority, the evidence behind it, and a line in bold saying what Rixe delivers — for example We write and publish the page or We give you a copy-paste snippet. Under that is the 30-day forecast for this kind of work.

Working the list on the Opportunities board

The Opportunities tab shows the same findings as cards in three columns: suggested, planned and done. Above the board, three tiles count what is Open, planned and Completed, and one line names the one thing to do today — the open item with the highest priority.

  1. Read the card: the badge says the kind of finding, then the title, why it matters, and the suggested fix.
  2. Choose how to act:
    • Send to autopilot — shown only on suggested items the system can do itself: a content gap or comparison becomes a brief, and a page that fails the answer format or has gone stale is rewritten as a draft. The card moves to planned and the draft appears in Content. Nothing is published until it is approved.
    • Start work → — opens the place the work happens: the question's page, the source's page, the tracked page, or Site health.
    • Generate briefs — on content findings, queues a content brief. This is a paid generation.
    • Open outreach — on source findings, opens an outreach task (one per source; a source that already has an open task is skipped). See Sources, outreach and PR.
  3. Drag the card to planned when someone owns it, and to done when the change is live.
  4. To drop an item, press ✕, type a reason and save. It moves to Closed items, where Restore brings it back.

Marking work done starts the measurement

The moment a card first reaches done, Rixe records the date. From then on the change appears in Impact, where its effect is measured against your visibility before the change. Re-marking the same item does not move that date.

If the autopilot refuses, the board says why: the work is already queued, the finding is human work, or your autopilot policy has this kind of work switched off (with a link to Settings › Autopilot). See Autopilot and workflows.

Plans and roles

The action plan is part of every plan. Owners, admins and members can move, dismiss and dispatch items. Generating briefs and drafts uses your plan's monthly allowance for AI generation; on agency plans it draws from the credit pool — see Plans and limits and Credits. Whether the autopilot may act on its own is set by your autopilot policy.

Common questions

The list is empty. Items appear as measurements accumulate. Make sure you have prompts and competitors set up and that a few days of daily measurement have run, then press Refresh list. A Site SEO crawl and a Site health audit also feed the list.

I fixed something but the card is still there. Rixe does not guess when a change went live. Drag the card to done yourself on the day you ship it, so the impact measurement starts from the right date.

Why is a small fix above a big content project? Because priority divides by effort. A five-minute robots.txt change with high confidence outranks a week-long article with uncertain payoff.

Does dismissing an item delete the finding? No. It moves to Closed items with your reason and can be restored.

  • Forecast — the expected effect shown under each item.
  • Content — where briefs and drafts from the plan are written and approved.
  • Impact — what finished work changed.
  • Autopilot and workflows — letting Rixe act without a click.
