Getting started
Quickstart
From signing up to your first measured answers — the setup wizard step by step, and what to expect on the first day.
Setting up a workspace takes a few minutes: you give Rixe your website, it reads the site, proposes your brand profile, competitors, topics and questions, and you review each one before anything is tracked. You choose a plan at the end of setup, and measurement starts as soon as payment goes through. This page walks through every step and tells you what you will see when the first answers arrive.
There is no free plan or trial
Every workspace is measured on a paid plan. You can create an account and go through setup without paying, but nothing is measured until you choose a plan in the last step. See Plans and limits.
Before you start
- Verify your e-mail address. Measurement does not start until the account owner's mailbox is confirmed. If you finish setup before clicking the link in the verification e-mail, your setup is saved and measurement starts automatically with the next scheduled measurement after you verify.
- Have your website address ready. Setup reads your homepage to work out what you sell and who you compete with. If the site cannot be read, you can fill in the profile yourself.
- Know which countries you sell in. A market in Rixe is a country together with a language (for example Germany · German). Each market you choose becomes its own workspace with its own questions. See Engines and markets.
The setup wizard, step by step
Open app.rixe.ai/onboarding after signing up. The wizard shows STEP n/total at the top; you can go Back at any point and your entries are kept, even if you reload the page.
- How will you use Rixe? Choose My own brand to track your own company, or For my clients if you are an agency. The agency path adds one step (Your agency: the agency name and your agency's location) and then sets up your first client. Agency specifics are covered in Agencies.
- Your site. Type your Domain; Rixe finds the brand name for you. In the same step you choose:
- Market — one or more country/language pairs. You can add as many markets as your plan has workspaces; the wizard tells you which plan a given number of markets needs.
- Time zone — reports and alert e-mails arrive on this clock. (All data is stored in UTC and shown in your time zone.)
- Audience mix — how much the generated questions should lean on each stage of the buyer journey: Awareness, Consideration, Evaluation and Purchase. The shares do not have to add up to exactly 100; they are treated as proportions.
- Brand profile. Rixe reads your site and fills in Brand identity, Description, Industry, Products & services and Competitors. Review and edit everything here — it is what the topics and questions are built from. Remove wrong competitors and add missing ones; you can change them later in Competitors. If no readable text came back from your homepage, the wizard says so and asks you to review the profile carefully, or you can choose Fill in the profile myself.
- Review topics. Rixe proposes the topics your customers ask about. Keep, remove or add topics; questions are generated for each one.
- Review questions. These are the prompts Rixe will ask the AI engines. Select the ones you want to track — at least 5, and at most what your plan allows. You can add or remove prompts at any time afterwards in Prompts › Your Prompts.
- Engines. The list of AI engines your plan measures in this market. You do not pick them here: your plan sets how many, and your market decides which ones (see Engines and markets). If an engine cannot measure right now, the step says so and leaves it out of the first scan.
- Choose your plan. Pick a plan and pay in the window that opens on the page. Your tracking starts the moment the payment goes through. If you already have an active plan (for example an agency adding another client), this step is skipped.
When the wizard finishes you see Setup complete, with the number of measurements queued and a button to Go to the overview (or Go to agency console for agencies).
Fewer, sharper questions
Every tracked question is measured on every engine your plan includes, and each one uses part of your plan's allowance. Twenty well-chosen category questions tell you more than a hundred near-duplicates. Prompts explains how to choose them.
What happens next
Your first measurement is queued as soon as setup is complete — you do not have to wait for the night. Results usually appear within a few hours: each answer has to be collected from the engine and then read (which brands were named, in what order, citing which pages) before it shows up in the panel.
From then on, measurement is daily. Rixe plans each day's measurements at 02:00 UTC and updates the scores after the answers have been read. The details are in How measurement works.
What you will see on the first day
Go to AEO Insights › Visibility. You will find:
- AI visibility — a dial from 0 to 100 that sums up how visible your brand is in AI answers, with a sentence such as "you appear in 12 of 100 answers".
- Visibility chart — the trend over time, one line per brand.
- Competitor ranking — the brands that are named most often for your questions, yours among them.
- Under the page title, the sample behind the numbers: how many answers, prompts and engines, over how many days.
Open Prompts › Your Prompts to see each question's visibility, and click any question to read the actual answers.
"Not enough data" is not an error
A rate needs at least 4 runs before Rixe shows it as a number. Until then you see Not enough data (or insufficient sample) instead. This clears on its own as daily measurements accumulate. See Visibility score.
If nothing appears
| What you see | What to check |
|---|---|
| The setup wizard says measurement has not started | Verify your e-mail address — click the link in your inbox. Measurement starts with the next scheduled measurement. |
| The top bar says Measurement paused | Someone paused measurement in Settings › General. Turn it back on with Pause measurement; it resumes on the first night after. |
| A message that some engines are degraded and their data is incomplete | That engine is having problems. Its answers are marked as missing data — your score is not lowered because of it. |
| No measurements yet after several hours | Check the prompt's own page: it lists how many runs completed or failed and why. |
