Credits

How the agency credit pool works — what a credit buys, what each action costs, and how to give each client site its own share.

On an agency plan every paid thing you do draws from one monthly pool of credits: measurement, SEO checks, content, the assistant, the site agent, pitch reports. You read one number per client site instead of several separate allowances, and you decide where the credits go.

Brand plans are not credit-metered: their limits are prompt count, model count and measurement frequency. This page applies to agency plans.

What a credit buys

1 credit = 1 prompt × 1 engine × 1 day. Tracking one prompt on one engine with daily measurement draws one credit a day. ChatGPT costs more to query than the other engines, so a measurement on ChatGPT counts as 2 credits.

That makes the pool flexible: the same credits can cover many prompts on a few engines, or fewer prompts on many engines. The pricing card shows an estimate such as "≈ N prompts on M engines, daily" for each pool size.

Other actions

Everything else draws a fixed number of credits, from the client site it is done for. These are the defaults:

The costs can change. The billing page always shows the current list under What each action costs, in credits.

Where to find your credits

Open the user card at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Billing. On an agency plan you will see:

  • Credit usage (this month) among the usage meters: credits used against the monthly pool.
  • Credits by client site: the table described below.

Giving each site its own share

By default every client site draws from the Shared pool. You can give any site its own share instead: a fixed number of credits that only that site can use, and that is also that site's ceiling.

  1. Open Billing and find Credits by client site.
  2. In the Share column, type a whole number of credits for each site that should have its own share. Leave the field empty for sites that should keep drawing from the shared pool.
  3. Press Save shares.

The table then shows, per site, Used this month and Left. The last row is the Shared pool: whatever is left of the monthly pool after every share is set aside, what the sites without a share have used, and what remains. Below the table you see the totals: credits used this month out of the pool, and how many are left.

Rules:

  • Shares must be whole numbers, and together no more than your monthly pool. Otherwise saving fails with a message.
  • You may lower a site's share below what it has already used this month. It simply has nothing left until the month renews.
  • Only owners and admins can change shares. Other members can read the table.

When credits run out

A site that runs out stops alone. The other sites keep being measured.

  • Measurement: when a site has no credits left for the day, that day's measurement is not planned at all — Rixe does not measure part of a day. The day shows as missing data in the panel; the score is never quietly lowered. You also get a notification that the monthly credits are used up.
  • Other actions: a paid action on a site with no credits left is refused with a message saying the site's credits for the month are used up.

Credits renew at the start of each month.

Raising the pool

Each tier offers its base pool and one larger pool:

TierBase poolRaised pool
Agency Studio10,00015,000
Agency Practice25,00035,000
Agency Network65,00085,000

The credits above the base cost $35 per 1,000 a month ($350 per 1,000 on yearly billing). Choose the pool on the billing page with Update credits. If you need more than the raised pool, move up a tier or ask for Agency Custom, whose allowance is set by contract. See Plans and limits.

Common questions

Why does one client use more credits than another with the same number of prompts? Credits depend on prompts and engines. A client measured on more engines, or on ChatGPT, draws more per prompt.

Does a pitch report for a prospect come out of a client's share? A pitch report that is not tied to a client site draws from the shared pool.

Do unused credits carry over? No. The pool renews at the start of each month.
