Measure
Visual and product cards
How often Google's AI answers come with images, product carousels or videos, and how often your brand appears inside them compared with your rivals.
Google's AI answers are not only text. Many come with an image pack, a product carousel or a row of videos, and a brand can be "in the answer" as a product card without its name ever appearing in the prose. The Visual & product cards card measures how often that happens on your prompts and whose products and pages fill those cards.
Where to find it
Open AEO Insights in the sidebar and stay on the Visibility tab (https://app.rixe.ai/insights?tab=visibility). The card Visual & product cards sits in the grid below the score charts. It follows the window chosen in the filter strip (Last 7 / 30 / 90 days).
Which engines it covers
Only Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode show these cards. Rixe reads them from the same Google result that the daily measurement already fetches for those two engines, so the card adds no measurement cost.
Answers from other engines are not counted as zero: they are left out, and the note at the bottom of the card says how many, for example "Measured on: Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode. 312 answers from other engines are not counted here, because those engines do not show visual blocks."
ChatGPT shopping cards
ChatGPT's own product cards are not available through any service Rixe uses, so they are not measured. The card says so rather than showing an empty number.
If neither Google engine is part of your measurement, the card shows "No visual answers measured yet". To add them, see Engines and markets.
Reading the card
The headline rate
The large number is the share of measured Google answers that showed at least one visual block. Under it: "{count} of {of} measured answers showed a visual block", followed by the range — "likely between 18% and 34%". The range is a Wilson confidence interval. With fewer than 4 answers the card shows Not enough data instead of a percentage.
Block types
Block types breaks the rate down by the kind of block, each with a bar and a count such as 14/120. Every type is labelled with where it appears:
| Inside the AI answer | On the results page |
|---|---|
| Products in the AI answer | Popular products |
| Images in the AI answer | Shopping ads |
| Videos in the AI answer | Product listings |
| Things to consider | |
| Product filters | |
| Image pack | |
| Videos | |
| Short videos |
"Inside the AI answer" blocks are part of the generated answer itself. "On the results page" blocks sit around it on the same Google page.
You and your competitors inside the cards
This table looks only at the answers that showed a visual block, and counts how many times each brand appeared in one.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Brand | Your brand (highlighted) and the rivals that appeared at least once — up to eight rows. |
| Appeared | In how many of those answers the brand was inside a card, for example 9/40. |
| Share | The same as a percentage. Hover to see its range; below 4 answers it reads Not enough data. |
A brand counts as inside a card when the card's link points to one of the brand's domains, or when the card's title or seller names the brand. Name matching uses the same rules as the rest of your measurement.
Sites most often inside the cards
The chips at the bottom list the sites that appeared most often in the cards (up to eight), each with the number of answers in which it appeared. Marketplaces and retailers often dominate here; if they carry your products, that is a channel to keep healthy.
How to use it
- Check the headline rate. If few of your Google answers carry visual blocks, this card is a side note for your category.
- If the rate is high, look at Block types. Products in the AI answer and popular products point to commerce surfaces; image packs and videos point to visual content.
- Compare your Share with your rivals'. A rival inside the cards while you are absent usually means its product data or images are easier for Google to use.
- Check the sites in the chips. If a marketplace shows up repeatedly, make sure your listings there are complete.

Limits and availability
The card is included in every plan. It needs Google AI Overviews or Google AI Mode among your measured engines; which engines you can choose depends on your plan — see Plans and limits.
Common questions
My brand is named in the AI answer text but not in the cards. The two are measured separately. This card only looks at visual and product blocks; the text mention counts toward your visibility score.
Why does the denominator change between the headline and the brand table? The headline is out of all measured Google answers. The brand table is out of the answers that had at least one visual block.
